About Celestial Gifts
We are CELESTIAL GIFTS LLC... Starting with our supply of Natural Muslin Drawstring Bags.... We are slowly creating a niche in this vast online arena. To help you get to know us. Here's a little bit of info! Celestial Gifts LLC is a small, family, home-based enterprise located in a quaint Kentucky village. It is run by two "best friends" - "brothers". Celestial Gifts has operated in many different areas over the years... Starting in Alaska, then to Arizona and Hawaii we finally settled in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky... Fresh air, green grass, rolling hills of fertile farmland, and warm people seemed to make Kentucky the right place to run our business.... Yet as rural as we are, we ship all over the world. We would like to say we're an international business with a "down Home" country heart. People ask how we started selling bags. Well we didn't... We were first a hand crafted candle and soap company... But we used the bags for packaging and found that to be our calling. Now we still make the best country soap you've ever used, with the best all natural ingredients (I prefer to use Olive Oil, Macadamia Nut, Avocado, Kukui Nut and Jojoba Oils), but that's few and far between. By the time we make the soap and friends/family find out, there's nothing left to sell.... lol.. But you never know... Keep an eye out... We've been in a soapmaking mood!!! Travis and family live on a small farm in the country. It's a friendly place with a creek in the front and cows to the side. And yes, the roosters crow way to early too. And next door (a ways) live the nicest neighbors you could ever meet. Travis builds a bonfire and they stop over to say hello. The people here are friendly and look after one another... (When they first moved in, a neighbor stopped by to say hi with fresh produce from her garden... people still do that in the country.) His wife makes Theee Best southern fried chicken you have ever had... And the best peach pie too. They have a small garden. This year it's heirloom tomatoes, cukes, taters, radishes, raspberries, strawberries, kohlrabi, watermelon, pumpkin, lettuce, rosemary, basil, sage, mint, etc, etc.., and of course, CORN. They even have a rogue grape vine that was left on the property. It is amazing when it blooms. Have you ever smelled grape blooms? Subtle and SWEET! His wife plants A LOT of flowers too... In summer, the place is beautiful and full of life. BUTTERFLIES!!! I have never seen so many butterflies in the fields. And in June the fireflies (called lightning bugs here) light up the sky like sparks against the starry night! They also have a small orchard... 3 english walnut trees, peach, 2 apple, cherry, and almond trees. I think they'll be overwhelmed when harvest time comes... lol <grin> Tag is a farm cat that visits all the neighbors in the area and drops in to eat, sleep, and tease the two dogs, Dixie and Emma. Tag doesn't belong to anyone, but everyone belongs to Tag! Dixie, a black lab, is the social one, and just has to say hi to everyone on a daily basis... while Dixie makes her rounds, Emma (a yellow lab shepherd mix) stays pretty much close to home, making sure all is run right. They guard the farms and check in to make sure all is where it should be. Tag, Dixie, and Emma are real characters. Travis talked me into moving out here and obviously I love it. The people are nice. The land is fertile, the grass green, with the most beautiful horse farms you have ever seen. And I can even breath the air... lol.. Now, I am familiar with country living, but even I thought the air smelled funny when I got here... Travis said it was OXYGEN! Hahahaha! I guess you don't get too much of that other places anymore! It's also a nice place to run a business. That is if I can keep Travis from staring out his window all day. He's not going to like me saying that... lol (kidding)
I (Paul) live in a slightly bigger "small" town nearby... When I first moved here, I would look out my front window (guess I can't blame Travis for doing the same, lol) ... I would swear I was looking out upon a small english village, small homes, rolling hills, tall trees and barns... I now live in the suburbs... Nice neighbors, mowed lawns, barbeques, small gardens.. I grow pumpkins, tomatoes, butterfly bushes, morning glories, moon flowers and sunflowers. It's also nice to be able to walk the streets at night, safely. You get to know your neighbors. There is a sense of trust. And I think that "neighborliness"rubs off on our business. We work hard, just like you, and offer the best in everything we can. We believe that people matter and do our best to offer the best service and products possible. We love our business, our customers, and have made many new friends along the way! We have gotten to know some of our regular customers and it's nice! We actually have gotten nice cards and emails from some of you. We like hearing from you. This is actually how we get to know of the many uses for our bags. Tell Us What You Use Them For! We would love to hear from you!!! E-Mail or call 859-536-7724 / 6989 THANKS FOR CHOOSING CELESTIAL GIFTS LLC ~ BLESSINGS!
